At a CAGR of 27,8% until 2031, Eye Tracking technology is rapidly becoming one of the leading forces in modern human computer interaction (HCI). Compared to EEG, a standard laboratory approach to measuring cognitive insights, eye tracking offers many advantages. Because of that, Eye Tracking is seeing wide adoption in industries such as marketing, training and education, healthcare, aviation, consumer electronics and many more.

  • The wealth of data from eye tracking is large, but difficult to almost impossible to utilise sensibly without the relevant prior knowledge in this area.
  • Moreover, taking standard Eye Tracking out of context can produce misleading results such as interpreting a staring into space as keen interest in a blank wall.
  • Meaning: today, there is no ready-to-use solution to understanding cognitive processes in a user outside the laboratory setting.

Solution

Using SOMAREALITY’s software, customers can track their current cognitive state in real time. If the user is stressed, overwhelmed, etc., this can be determined and acted upon immediately. The algorithms used (patent application in preparation) not only track standard eye movements, but combine various data streams to analyse the user’s cognitive state in real time.

This is a new, digital form of neuropsychology – providing unprecedented insights into how users engage and think.

Our solution is a software (SDK) that is easily integrated into any Eye Tracking-supported hardware, works in real-time (while the user is performing the actual task), requires no scientific background and delivers easy-to-interpret data to:

The global 3D eye tracking software market is predicted to grow hugely by 2031, primarily due to the increasing ubiquity of smartphones. Furthermore, commercialization of vision tracing technology is expected to make the mobiles sub-segment significantly dominant. Advancements from Apple (Vision Pro works heavily with Eye Tracking), Sony and Samsung in 2023 and early 2024 are further fueling the market growth.
